We are so excited to start up the year with you! Just a few housekeeping things to be mindful of:
1. We follow the WCS schedule for the calendar year and weather. Some of you might notice that we have 2 classes that we will not be meeting on. One due to TSC needing the room for a previously scheduled event and the other one is for MLK Day.
We appreciate your flexibility.
2. As we encounter wet weather, please make sure that you clean off the bottom of your shoes before coming into the building. We want to do our best to keep everything looking clean.
3. If you are new or are bringing friends for the first time, please remember that the church's participation agreement that you all sign before participating, states that this class is for women only who are 13 years of age and older.
4. The church does not offer childcare. Please make arrangements before hand for your children. We would hate for you to be uninformed.
5. Make sure that you bring updated insurance information to class or feel free to email Candace (candacea@bellsouth.net) for any changes to your policy.
6. This playlist is very close to an hour long. We want to start on time so that everyone gets a good workout. Please make sure to come early to sign in and fellowship before we start.
We hope that you enjoyed your Christmas break. We are ready to see what God has in store for this ministry in 2011. New Year's resolutions are great, but remember to be realistic when setting your goals. This class is a fitness class, but it is also a great place to meet other women, hear about TSC and get a great workout while having fun, too. We hope that you will listen to this playlist before class on Monday. It will be easier to learn the moves if you already know the songs. We are going to challenge you this month with these songs. Please keep in mind that we have many weeks to learn them and we will do it together.
We love y'all and will see you on Monday.

New Playlist is up!
ARE YOU READY!! We hope so!
We know that December can be a really busy time...
places to go, people to meet, gifts to buy and wrap, food to eat...
The list can go on and on!
Please don't let the month overwhelm you. Make time to keep fit (in other words make time for TSC Zumba).
We are not holding anything back this month. It is really going to get you moving and sweating!!
Also, we want you to take the time to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Luke 2:1-20 (New International Version, ©2010)
The Birth of Jesus
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests!
We wish you and your family the best and have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Can you cook?
As I said last night, I'm going to explain how we can all help our community this Thanksgiving with the service opportunity between TSC and The Well.
The Well is offering meals to families that are in need for Thanksgiving. Thompson's Station Church has had members sign up to help donate food, set up, and deliver food on Wednesday, November 24th. If you want to help do any of this, please let us know. Zumba ladies are being asked to bake a dessert (or prepare one for being baked)for this cause. If you feel like you have the time to do this and want to help those in the community, we will have our sign up sheet with us on Monday. Desserts can either be dropped off at The Well on Wednesday, November 24th (during the afternoon because meals will be packaged starting at 6) or if you will be out of town you can bring your dessert to Zumba on Monday, November 22 and we will take it for you.
What a wonderful thing to provide for others around the holidays. If you have questions please let us know!
"If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?"
—James 2:15-16

October is here!!
Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting changes to the schedule!!
Here is the updated playlist. Listen to the music and it will be easier to learn the moves!
Candace and I wanted to thank everyone so much for coming to the Zumbathon on Saturday! We had a great turn out and a great workout!! You ladies bless us so much!! By your giving, we will be able to spread the love of God to others who might not have heard it before.
Please remember to keep coming to the blog for updated prayer requests. It is very important for us to continually be lifting each other up in prayer.
We also wanted to let you know that if you ever want to come to class a few minutes early or walk around the gym to pray or if you ever felt lead to walk around the building and pray, we would love to have you join us.
If you have not come to introduce yourself to us, please do that. We would love to meet you and get to know you on a more personal level.
We love y'all! See you tomorrow!

Where is your heart?
People have been asking about why we are getting so involved with P61....
Here is our view: Candace
Six months ago, I was wondering to myself, why would anyone want to go on a foreign mission trip? Much less all the way across the globe to Africa. I had made up my mind that foreign travel with a mission agenda was not for me. I told myself, I will stay here, and continue in the local mission field here in Spring Hill and Thompson's Station. Well, as you all know, what you may have in mind, is not always what God has in His plan for you....
It was April 22nd, and I sat in a room filled with women I watched a video of these orphans living in a trash dump in Ethiopia. As I saw the faces of these people, I couldn't help but feel compassion for them and began to wonder what I could do? As the pictures flashed the words of the song playing by Brooke Fraser stuck in my head, "Now that I have seen, I am responsible, faith without deeds is dead. Now that I have held you, in my own arms, I cannot let go til you are."
In that moment, I heard GO, GO, GO, you must GO!!!
That was 5 months ago, and today I am preparing to go on my first international mission trip to Africa in January. I am a worrier by nature, but God has given me the peace that surpassing all of my understanding, and I have no worries or anxiety about this trip. I know that I am being obedient and God will take care of me since I am answering this call.
"A brother or sister in Christ might need clothes or food. If you say to that person, "God be with you!! I hope you stay warm and get plenty to eat, " but you do not give what that person needs, your words are worth nothing. In the same way, faith that is alone, that does nothing, is dead. James 2:15-17
Kacey:
So over the past couple of years, my husband and I have been trying to have a baby. We went to the doctor 1 1/2 years ago and we learned the reasoning. We have worked on different parts of the issues, but still no baby. My husband and I have always wanted to adopt, we just thought it would be after we had our own kids. So after the last trip to the doctor, we started talking more seriously. In March, we mailed off paperwork and a week later my sister in law got back from Africa. She told me about a specific case that she knew of when she was on her trip. To make a long story short, Nick and I went to go meet some special people in Africa in June, and today we are raising money to bring someone special home. Could this fall through? Sure, it could! But even if it does, I know that God put this in my life for a reason. I know that everything that has happened because of our desire to have kids has opened our eyes to new opportunities that we would not have witnessed before. If you have questions about my story, come talk to me...you might even see some pictures of my special one!!
"I was hungry, and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your house. I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me." Then the good people will answer, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our house? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear? When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?"
Then the King will answer, "I tell you the truth, anything you did for the least of my people here, you also did for me."
Matthew 25:35-40

Great job!!
Hey ladies! Y'all did a great job with the new playlist tonight!!
I just wanted to let you know again about how to give some money to help with the flood if you feel led to do that. In the MPR where we work out are black boxes on the walls by the door. You can drop a check in there. Please put in the memo line if you want it to go to "remodeling" for our church or "flood relief" for victims and their homes. Thank you to those that have asked us how to help!
If you know of someone in our Zumba family that needs help, please email us their name and contact information to pass on to the church. The staff is gathering up people to go to the victims and pray with them and provide someone to help assess what they need to do next. We have a wonderful family here at TSC that wants to help those in need.
Also, if you want to bring items to donate, you can do that at any class that we have. We can start a collection by the tables where we sign in. Some items that we can collect are:individual prepackaged snacks (granola bars, chips, crackers, etc.), bottles of water, shampoo, bars of soap, combs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorants, feminine products, other toiletry items.
Thanks again for a great night!!

Class Tonight, May 3rd
Hey ladies, we hope you are all safe and sound. Williamson County Schools are closed today, so there WILL BE NO zumba tonight. Take this time to spend with your families and we will see you Thursday night, unless otherwise informed. Be safe!!
Saturday, May 1, 2010
Is it May already?
Here you go, ladies. The new playlist is up. There are more songs that are not listed. You will have to come to class to hear them.
New playlist means new songs, so come early (6:00) to learn some of the new moves.
Remember that after class on Mondays we need to put the chairs out for the ladies Bible study on Wednesday nights. You are more than welcome to come to this study that starts at 6:30.
On Thursdays, we need some folks to come early and help put the chairs up so that we can have the floor free of chairs.
UPDATE: On Thursday, May 20th, we will not have class due to previously scheduled event. Tentatively, our last class before we break will be on Monday, May 24th. We will get back to you if something changes.
Acts 16:31 "...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..."
Saving Faith is trusting in Christ alone for your eternal life. This means trusting in what He has done rather than what we can do to get us into heaven.
We love you, ladies and we want to make sure that you make the most important decision of your life. We want to see you in heaven. Please come talk to us if you are unsure of this decision. You can email us or find us on FaceBook if you have questions.
Our number one priority in this ministry is you!!
We love y'all!!

Monday is almost here!!
Hope y'all are having a great weekend and enjoying this great weather!!
Monday will be here before you know it!!
As always, please bring some water and wear good tennis shoes. It is getting hotter outside, so as a precaution, please make sure that you drink lots of water in the afternoon before class (and it would be good if you had a snack before coming, too).
Feel free to come early, at 6:00, and we will break down some of the songs before class begins at 6:30.
Also, remember that this Thursday there will be NO class, due to another event at TSC.
If you have questions, feel free to e-mail us or post them on the blog or on our facebook page (Zumba for Christ).
Thank you to those that could make it to the Zumbathon for the McKinnons. It was a great time!!
Remember that Monday night there is a fund raiser at the new Chick-fil-A on 31 in Franklin (by the Target). Sign your receipt and give it to one of the TSC people in an Africa shirt to help with the trip in June.
Hope you have a blessed Sunday. If you don't have a church home we would love to see you at TSC tomorrow for Sunday services (8:30, 9:45, 11:00).
We love you, ladies!!
See you soon!!

Y'all ROCK!!
We were so excited to see you all last night!! The Lord says, "that when two or more gather in his name, He will be there (Matthew 18:20)." I know that I felt Him there last night!! We hope that you did too!!
As we were watching y'all during the workout, we noticed how fast you were picking up the steps! Everyone looked great!!Keep it up, listen to the playlist online to get to know the songs, and keep coming back!! Please make sure that you are drinking plenty of water before the workout and that you bring some with you to class.
Remember that we have class this Thursday at 6:30. If you can, come early to help put chairs up. We are so glad that we will get to enjoy your company two times a week until summer!!
We encourage you to take some time this week and pray over the prayer requests that we have. The Bible tells us to "cast all our cares on Him, for He cares for us" (1 Peter 5:7). Let's join together and do this for each other!!
We love each of you! Please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you. We are here for you!!
Hope you have a great day and we will see you on THURSDAY!!

The Savior Has Risen!!
Praise God!! The Savior Has Risen!!
We encourage you, over this special holiday, to take the time to reflect on what the greatest gift of all was!! God sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the debt for our sins. You can read for yourself if you go to Luke 23:33. At this point in the story, Jesus has already been beaten, a crown of thorns has been placed on his head, and he has been mocked and made fun of by his own people. They nailed him to the cross and hung it between two criminals. During the course of his time spent suffering, one of the criminals asked him,'"Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And Jesus replied, "Surely, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
As you keep reading you can see he fulfilled his purpose and when he died, they placed him in the tomb. And on the third day he was no longer there. He had RISEN!!
As you look on this moment, remember that there is nothing that you could ever do or have done that would keep you from receiving this free gift of eternal life. God is love!
If you have questions about this, we would love to talk to you more. Feel free to talk to us after class or e-mail us with questions.
We love you, ladies!!
We hope you have a Christ filled weekend. If you would like to join us at TSC on Sunday there are three services (8:30, 9:45, and 11:00). We would love to have you join us!!

Are You Ready??
Hey ladies! Hope you have all enjoyed this wonderful weather the past couple of days; it is so great to wake up with the warm sun, shining down first thing in the morning. Hope you ladies are ready to zumba tomorrow night; we have missed you the past couple of weeks due to the weather, but we are excited to get back into the swing of things. Remember come early at 6 if you would like; we will be there to go over the steps from a song or two off this months playlist; otherwise be there ready to get started promptly at 630. We hope you have a wonderful upcoming week, and if you need us we are here for you in any way.

Welcome to the Zumba for Christ blog!!
Hello Ladies!!! We're glad that you have come to check out the blog. Our hopes are that you can look (at your convenience) here to find all the information you need to know about TSC Zumba (also known as Zumba for Christ). We will be posting announcements, prayer requests, playlists, verses of scripture, testimonies and any other information that we think you need to know. Any major updates will happen over the weekend. We hope that you will still use this site throughout the week.
At the top of this page, you will see a song playlist for January classes. If you want to listen to the songs or try to do the routines at home just hit the play arrow at the top of the playlist box. There are 10 songs on the playlist...not all the songs we use are included. To get to the next song you can either let the player continuously play or use the right hand button (next to the big play button) to skip to the next song. We hope that this will help you continue to exercise throughout the week.
To the right hand side you will see different categories for prayer requests, class schedule and contact information.
Hope to see you all Monday night and ready to have some fun. If you want to come early at 6 o'clock to go over some steps come on, if not we will see you at 6:30. Hope you all are having a blessed week and God bless you all.
